On the journey toward a carbon-neutral 50-seat aircraft
Starting in January 2020 and running until December 2022, FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 brings together an international consortium of universities, SMEs, OEM and organisations to accelerate the technologies needed to deliver a commercial hybrid-electric aircraft that could enter service in 2035-40. FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 is an EU funded initiative with a special focus on energy storage, energy harvesting and thermal management – essential challenges in the journey towards carbon-neutral aviation. The project utilizes open research to share findings with the public and fellow researchers, ensuring that everyone can join history in the making.
