• Open Reference Aircraft data: This data set contains the results which were created in the FUTPRINT50 project for the ATR 42-500 lookalike, the conventional reference aircraft (CRA) and the hybrid-electric aircraft (HEA). The data contained is explained in further detail in the Deliverable 4.4 of the FUTPRINT50 project. The FUTPRINT50 data set can be found here:

With FUTPRINT50 now coming to an end, we are now able to upload the final aircraft design as 3D print model.

This week, marked an exciting event - the first in-person FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 Advisory Board meeting. Advisory Board members representing the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Safran, the University of Victoria, Vereinigung Cockpit, and FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 experts came together at the University of Stuttgart on 1 March 2023.

On the 19th of October 2022, the FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 Aircraft Design Challenge celebrated its award ceremony and came to an end during the 12th EASN International Conference on "Innovation in Aviation & Space for opening New Horizons” in Barcelona, Spain following a 6-month competition among 14 promising young scientists, forming four teams. Each team consisted of a maximum of five MSc. students from all over Europe who presented their proposals for a hybrid-electric aircraft design.

The last issue for 2022 of the quarterly e-newsletter of the European Aeronautics Science Network has just been released, covering interesting topics relevant to the aeronautics community. Among other aviation highlights, it points out the latest news and current progress of the FᴜᴛPʀIɴᴛ50 project.
